The Opportunity

Within our corporate office, an Asset Modelling Engineer position has become available. This role will see you providing industry leading asset data analytics and modelling to give support to Fulton Hogan road maintenance contracts and external clients. In this varied role you will be tasked with strengthening Fulton Hogan’s profile as a leader in delivery of high quality asset management and maintenance services. Some of the tasks you will be involved with in this position are;

Assisting with delivery of asset management strategies and programmes
Monitoring and measuring the condition of road networks through data analysis
Exploring and developing new data sources and analysis techniques to gain useful insights
Assisting in the development of the Maintenance Intervention Strategies and Guidelines
Carrying out post construction analysis/validation of projects
Modelling input and analysis for tenders
Initiate and contribute to research projects
Conference attendance and presentations
Write, develop and input to contract management plans and processes
Training and support regional teams in development of asset renewal programmes
The Candidate

The successful applicant will pride themselves on their problem solving abilities and come in with a desire to get stuck in and learn the use of systems to deliver our Road Asset Management responsibilities. It is a busy role that will suit someone who enjoys a challenge and can manage multiple tasks, prioritising their work effectively. The following skills and attributes are also required:

A Engineering/Science Degree or equivalent from a recognised Tertiary Provider or relevant experience
Proficient in using databases
Understanding data and analytics
Ability to clearly communicate complex situations
Understanding of statistical principles and applications
Ability to think outside the square and be open to new ideas
Highly customer focused, ability to respond to evolving client demands
High level of attention to the detail
Experience within a road maintenance environment beneficial
Commercial acumen with understanding of various contract models
Willing to travel for work
